Hi again Linnie

   Here's a possible clue - or half a clue
   World connect has that
Edison Courchesne who married Diana Shooner was born 1 Feb 1878 in Canada (this must have come from a census record - perhaps in Massachusetts since
it alleges he died in June 1964 in Mass)

If you can find this Eduoard's baptism record, you might find his parent's marriage in the same Church book.
I have searched in my paid subscription sites but didn't find the marriage you want. However, I found several of their children and they mostly seem to have been born in Yamaska County. In fact, in all of the reading I've done tonight (including google) it seems the various Courchenes made their homes in Yamaska.

I believe your Eduoard who married Shooner was their first born and was probably born in Pierreville - if that's any help.
Here is Eduoard & Mathilde & several of their children in the 1901 census living in St-Thomas-de-Pierreville, Yamaska for what it's worth - it has birth dates

Sorry I couldn't help you smash down your brick wall - I tried.

It's just past midnight now and I have to stop cause my eyes are burning so I'm off to lalaland.
If I think of anything else tomorrow, I'll let you know.
   Night for now.
   Shirley-Jean

Mathilda Paradis/Panadis Hi Linnie I think I found the mysterious Mathilda. I would say she's a PANADIS and not a Paradis. There are several of them in Pierreville and they are natives.

See the baptism of some of her children, mother Mathilde Panadis???

Francois Panadis & Catherine O'Bomsawin could be the parents of Mathilde? Good luck Renee

Here's a tree I just found on the net - it doesn't give Eduoard & Mathilde's marriage though but has Eduard's parents names but nothing for Mathilde Paradis. It includes several of their children who it seems were all baptised at St-Thomas Parish in Pierreville, Yamaska. I just had a thought. When I was searching the censuses for this couple, in Yamaska, as well as having pages for the different parishes, there was also a page titled "Indian". I'm now wondering if Mathilde was Native which could certainly explain the lack of info on her and her marriage to Edouard. My Quebec geography is zilch but it might be a clue - perhaps they married on a Reserve ...... maybe. . Perhaps the owner of this very extensive tree might know.
