Edith Jewel Aitken-Cade

Edith married Stewart Edward Aitken-Cade in 1938 and they had four children; Shirley Jeanne 1939,; Edward Stewart 1940; Priscilla Bierce 1945; and Philip Burns 1946. She and Harry were living with her uncle Will McKee while the rest of the family returned to the mission in Africa. She then went on to junior college and then Wooster College in Ohio – graduated in 1926. Nurses training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NY – graduated 1929. Studied Midwifery in London to graduate in 1930 then off to Mt Selinda as a newly minted missionary nurse.
