About Edith Mary Else
Edith Mary was born at her parents' home in Poweshiek County to John and Mary Beatty Andrews. She graduated from Oskaloosa Community Schools. She taught at a rural school for one year and on Aug. 28, 1929, she married Clarence Else at Oskaloosa, IA. They farmed for several years and she also helped her husband in the State Church Building Mission. Later she became manager of the Church of Nazarene Camp Grounds in West Des Moines. She was a member of the Iowa Falls Nazarene Church and formerly the Oskaloosa Nazarene Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of both churches Missionary Societies.
