Henry Silberman: "Edith Hoffman -- my mother's cousin. Her mother was my grandfather's Berger's sister (Emma). Edith was a very intelligent and capable woman, who never married and lived much of her life in Amsterdam working for international financial institutions. Interned together with her mother by Nazis, managed to survive the war. Worked for Bank in NYC until her death. Run over by automobile. (She limped because of a congenital hip subluxation)."
