Edith Rebecca Seibel

Edith Rebecca (Seibel) Good, 87, of Stevens, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at the home of her daughter.

She was born in Earl ­Township to the late Amos and Lydia (Reinhart) Newswanger. She was the widow of Leonard H Seibel with whom she had 9 children. After the death of her first husband, became the wife of Paul B. Good.

She was a member of New Haven Mennonite Church Mid Atlantic Conference.

In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by 9 children: Dale N., husband of Marian (Hursh) Seibel of Hopewell, Darlene N., wife of Clarence Kreider of Myerstown, LaVerne N., wife of Paul Groff of Stevens, Shirley N., wife of Carl Martin of Newmanstown, Leonard N., husband of Norma (Lehman) Seibel of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Edith N., wife of the late R. Carl Martin of Myerstown, Margie N., wife of Reed High of Jonestown, Lydia N., wife of Anthony Sweigart of Foxworth, MS, Jane N., wife of Vernon Geigley of Lancaster; 5 stepchildren: Harold B., husband of Miriam (Zimmerman) Good of Stevens, Ruth B., wife of Earl Horst of Tamaqua, Melvin B., husband of Verna (Fox) Good of Long Island, VA, Loretta B., wife of Sylvan Witmer of Womelsdorf, Rhoda B., wife of ­Vernon Weaver of Stevens, 2 brothers: Amos, husband of Arlene (Gehman) Newswanger Jr. of Pine Grove, Robert, husband of Elva (Martin) Newswanger of Ephrata; 1 sister: Anna, wife of Ira Ginder of Denver; 41 grandchildren; 27 step grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; 76 step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Leonard Seibel; a daughter-in-law: Joyce (Hoover) Seibel; 5 brothers: Walter, Paul, Raymond, Lester and Richard Newswanger; a sister: Elsie Martin; a grandson and 2 great grandchildren.

Interment will take place in the Martindale (Brick) Mennonite Church Cemetery.
