Edna married Lonnie Winford Shipley on August 2, 1912 in Oklahoma, United States. Together they had the following children: Hazel Lorene Shipley; Hubert Winford Shipley; Bobby Bell Sanders; George Onis Shipley; Ona Allie Shipley; Earl Wayne Shipley; Geneva Bell Sanders.

She died on January 1, 1979 in Lake County, Indiana, USA and was buried in 1979 in Schererville, Lake, Indiana, United States.
