About Edward Louis Jacobson
E. L. Jacobson Rites Today; Vet Of Spanish War
Services for Edward L. Jacobson, 74, of 214 Melrose Ave., will be at 11 a.m. today at the Birnbaum Funeral Home, Rabbi Benjamin Friedman of Temple Society of Concord officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Jacobson died Tuesday night in University Hospital following several weeks' illness. Born in Northampton, Mass., he lived in Syracuse 36 years, the last eight of which he was employed at the Hotel Syracuse. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Whitehouse Jacobson; a son, Samuel Jacobson; three daughters, Miss Rae Jacobson and Mrs. Michael Rifkin, both of Syracuse, and Mrs. James Burleigh of Canastota; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Halperin of Palisades Park, N. J., and Mrs. Dora More of Tampa, Fla., and three grandchildren.
