Edward John William Patterson

Mr. Edward John Patterson March 23, 1919 ~ September 14, 2009 Edward John Patterson, a resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life, Monday, September 14, 2009, at his home, at the age of Ninety. He was born, March 23, 1919, in Parkin, Arkansas, the son of Johnny James and Clara Louida Walker Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a self-employed farmer and member of the Wynne Church of Christ. He served in the US Army during WWII and enjoyed drinking coffee, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Ida Lee Casey Patterson, son: Kenneth Patterson, two brothers: Robert Patterson and David Patterson, one sister: Kathryne Rhodes. He is survived by: One Son: Glenn Patterson and wife Jo of Forrest City, Arkansas,One Daughter: Diane Patterson of Wynne, Arkansas, Two Brothers: Rheno Patterson of Tupelo, Mississippi, Clyde Patterson of Rochelle, Illinois, Two Sisters: Dorothy Lambert of Manila, Arkansas, Bessie Holt of Rochelle, Illinois, Seven Grandchildren: Burke Jolly, Brian Jolly, Melissa Ward, Darla Burnett, Sheri Lenox, Cara Patterson, Erin Patterson, Eight Great-Grandchildren: Shelby Lenox, Cassie Lenox, Will Lenox, Alex Collier, Jesse Burnett, Trista Burnett, Connor Ward, Kaelyn Ward

Graveside services will be conducted, Thursday, September 17, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at the Bay Village Cemetery in Bay Village, Arkansas, with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, from 12 noon till 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, Arkansas. 870-238-9400
