Edward Stubbs

EDWARD STUBBS

Edward was born on 22 January 1798 in South Benton, County Durham.

When the UK Census was taken on 30 March 1851, Edward was living in South Hetton, County Durham with his wife, Mary, and their four children. He was then aged 54 and employed as a coal miner. The children were Edward (17 and employed as a coal miner), Margaret (14), Bartholomew (12) and Mary Jane (8).

On the marriage of his son, Edward, in 1852 Edward senior was still employed as a pitman.
