About Edwin Vance Huntington
Edwin Vance Huntington, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Lewiston. He was born Nov. 26, 1935, to Edwin Chandler and Julia (Williams) Huntington in Yakima.
He was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school and served four years as a supply sergeant. After being discharged, he became an office supplies salesman, retiring from the Hal Feder Co. after 40 years.
He married the love of his life, Judith Lynn Spaulding, on May 19, 1962, in Seattle.
He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lewiston, was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, an avid Chicago Cubs fan as well as an NAIA World Series ticket holder for 14 years. He volunteered at several places, including the Salvation Army, Royal Family Kids Camp as a grandpa, and with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Many of his volunteer activities included cooking - he was a great cook.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; daughters Jennifer (Rick) Funk and Suzanne (Michael) Uhlenkott; sons Anthony (Stacie) Huntington and Joseph (Michelle) Huntington; brothers Don (Mercedes) Huntington and Gary (Karen) Huntington; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2200 11th Ave., in Lewiston, with Pastor John Stroupe officiating.
