Edwin Mouldey sailed on the Cressy with his family which included his father Moses 39, mother Eleanor (Ellen) nee Coxhead 38 and his siblings. Henry 17, Sophia 13, Moses (Tom) 12, Edwin 9, Mary Ann 7, William 5, Phoebe 1 and Eleanor born 7 days before the ship docked. His parents bought a servant with them Maria Clifford. Henry was classed as a single male with the profession of bricklayer. According to records, Edwin became a baker and confectioner and a speculative builder, and in 1900 was living in Worcester Street, Christchurch.
