Word was received recently by Mrs. Len Townshend, of this town, that Private Edwin Hepburn Townshend, who enlisted some months ago, had been killed in action at the front in France. Much sympathy is felt with the family in their loss. Private E. H. Townshend was about 32 years of age. He married Miss Daniells (who is a sister to Mrs. Len Townshend) and leaves two young children.
