EDYTHE M. RELYEA, NURSE, SUCCUMBS Cerebral Hemorrhage Fatal To Roman After Illness Of Three Weeks Mrs. Edythe M. Relyea, 910 Elwood St, died today at a Rome hospital of a cerebral hemorrage following an illness of three weeks. She was born in Rome, May 15, 1892, the daughter of John and Minnie Bates Drummond, Graduate of Westernville High School, she received her training as a nurse at the Rome Infirmary. She worked at private nursing for 20 years retiring three years ago because of poor health. On June 28, 1915, she was married to Merritt Relyea at Carmichael Hill, North Western. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Rome, and of Holly Chapter, O. E. S. - Besides her husband and her father, she leaves a daughter, Miss Marion E. Relyea, at home; two sisters, Mrs. B. L. Nichols, Gainesborough, and. Mrs. Elfrieda Kelley, who is a nurse at the Oneida County Hospital; three brothers, Harvey Drummond, Rome; Burt Westernville, and Stanton B., North Western; and several aunts and uncles.
