≤p>OK I found some information on the census that they were in Great Falls, Greenwood Co, KS in most part of their farming life. I will do some google search on the Katy railroad and see if I can comeup with something of Turpin Station. It would be a matter of time when I will find out for sure.

≤p>I do remember a story that Effie and Joseph Adams were in Kansas and Effie "lost her mind in a soddie house" and her brother had to bring her back to Illinois and commit her to Jacksonville Mental Hospital. I dont know if it is all that unusual for Effie to lose her marbles, probably no woman contact for miles around. I think it was after her husband has died in KS and she could not run the farm by herself. Not sure where they lived but I will have to find the census. Or when she came back to go to mental hospital. No children of that marriage. I would not be surprised if Effie and Joseph Adams stayed in KS for long.
