Eileen Elizabeth Lauer

A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Eileen Elizabeth Lauer will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, in St. Cloud. Eileen fought a courageous battle with cancer, but died at home October 6, 2008, surrounded by her beloved family. The Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Friends and family may call between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home with Pastor Craig Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Eileen was born on May 13, 1931, to Henry and Cecilia (Wehsler) Pundsack in New Munich. Eileen married Ulrich (Ole) Lauer in New Munich on September 1, 1951. Eileen loved to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and she loved to laugh. She was an active member of First Assembly of God Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ole; children, Kenny Lauer, Patty Lauer, Jim (Michelle) Lauer, Mike (Joyce) Lauer; ten grandchildren, DeAnna, Elisa (Dan), Shanda, Benjamin, Kayla, Logan, Lora, Jocelyn, Lawrence and Jacob; three great-grandsons, Brayden, Caleb and Jaeger; sisters and brother, Olivia Schwieters, Jeanette (Gene) Toenies and Jerome (Clara) Pundsack; and sisters-in-law, Lorella Pundsack and Dolores Pundsack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Daniel Lauer; brothers and sisters, Theresa Pundsack, Olivia Pundsack, Julitta Blommel, Benny Pundsack, Margie Kenstad, Elmer Pundsack, Rosie Schwieters, Donny Pundsack, Joe Pundsack; and two foster sisters, Caroline Mayer and Sister Marie Wimmer.
