About Eiven mac Edair, Righ Caledonii
Succeeded his father Eder. Reigned seven years and put his people through all sorts of heinous things, like requiring every bride spend her first wedded night with him. Eventually he was dethroned and imprisoned, where he was murdered. He was succeeded by Metellan, whose genealogy I have not found.
General History of Scotland tells us his successor ruled during the birth of Christ, which occured in 4 AD, and that his successor reigned for 39 years, so 10 BC is a reasonable guess as to the death of Eiven mac Edair. We are told that his predecessor and father Eder reigned 48 years, so it is likely Eiven was around 20-40 years old when he became King. This gives us an estimated date of birth of 47 BC.
