Eleander Matilda Simpson married William Marrs(1750-1822) in 1778 in August Co, VA. They had twelve children: Isaac (1779-1848); Hugh (1780-1870); Mary (1780-1878); Margaret "Peggy" (1782-1840); James (1784-1826); Gemima Jane "Jennie" (1786-1865); Sarah "Sally" (1791-1878); William, Jr. (1796-1848); Elizabeth "Betsy" (1798-1840); Mahala (1799-1857); Minerva (1801-?); Esau (?-?).

William Marrs marriage dates are unknown. He is listed on the 1810 census of Logan County, Kentucky as head of house of 9 and 1 slave. The first wife of William is unknown at this time. It is thought that all the children are of the first wife. William was married 2nd to Elender whose last name is also unknown. (Kristin's comment: one researcher thinks that Elleander was a Simpson.)They married about 1820. William Marrs' will was written Sep. 29,1822 and probated Dec.02,1822 in Logan County, Ky.
