Eleanor M. Lapsley

  BROOKVILLE -- Mrs. Eleanor M. Lapsley, 61, of Brookville RD 1, died at her residence today.

Friends may call at the Galbraith Funeral Home in Brookville after 10 a.m. Friday. Services will be held at Meade Chapel Church Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Laverne Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Meade Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Lapsley was born at Brookville Oct. 12, 1915, daughter of Clyde and Margaret BVrocius [sic] Helmheckel. She was married to Rev. Raymond E. Lapsley at Oakland, Md., in 1938. She was the owner of two nursing homes, Woodland Heights at Brookville and Kramer Rest Home in New Bethlehem. She was a member of Meade Chapel Church.
Survivors are her husband; six sisters, Betty Van Steenberg of Sigel, Julia K. Ames of Punxsutawney, Pat Hobson [sic] of Kittanning, Virginia Songer of Warren, Ohio, Annette Black of Wooster, Ohio and Molly Johns of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Blake Helmheckel of Warren, Ohio and a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Hayes of Erie, Pa.
