RESIDENCE: 1909: Katoomba NSW 1910: Bexley NSW c.1915: Leeton NSW !BIOGRAPHY: Eleanor (known as Nell) was the 2nd child to Alfred Alexander and Mary Ann Tate, born 57 Haymarket SW London at 5.45am on 3rd August 1874, and christened on 15 October at the Hornsey Road Wesleyan Chapel, Holloway. Nell emigrated to Australia with the family in 1886, residing at High St., Carlton, and then at "Fernside" at Katoomba, where her parents ran a Guest House. She married at 35 years of age to Albert Hunter (a labourer believed to have been born in Dubbo) at the Whitefield Congregational Church in Sydney. [Her marriage certificate states her age as 29 to Albert's 27] The couple lived in the Bexley area where Emma was born but at some stage moved to the Riverina, near Whitton, but visited the relatives in Sydney at times - there are photos of Emma and May in the garden at their grandparents (Pye St., Westmead) taken about 1926. Nell remained around Leeton, after Albert died in 1937 - she die there in 1957, her daughter Emma [Lenton] nearby.
