Elaikim Reed Sr. and his wife Sarah, while residing in Norwalk, CT were admitted to the Church in Middlesex on 11 May 1750. They then moved from Norwalk, CT to Amenia, Dutchess, NY in 1773, just two years prior to the Revoltuionary war. Silas and his wife were admitted to the Church of Christ in Amenia, NY on 5 June 1773.
Eliakim Reed was a Private in the Dutchess Co., NY, militia, 6th regiment, in the Revolutionary War and signed the Articles of Association in Amenia, NY. DAR Ancestor A094253
