Elias Conant

(VI) Elias Conant, son of David (2) and Rhoda, was born in 1749 in Bridgewater, Mass., where he resided. He served for a short period in the war of the Revolution; was in Allen's company of Cary's regiment. DAR Ancestor #: A024808 Private for Massachusetts.

Mr. Conant married in 1774 Joanna, born in 1755, daughter of Phineas Conant. Their children were:

1. Huldah, born in 1779:
2. William, born in 1778;
3. William (2), born in 1780; and
4. Martin, born Aug.- 26, 1787.
