Elias Hitt Sr, son of John Hitt, was born about 1745 in Prince William County, Virginia. He married Letitia "Letty" (?). He passed away before August 24, 1833 in Jessamine County, Kentucky.

The death record[1] for his daughter Elizabeth Bentley lists her parents as Elias and Letty Hitt.

Origins

John Hitt, Sr. and Sarah were married abt. 1740 as their son, John Hitt, Jr., was born prior to 1743 as he served in the militia in 1761. We have no birthdate for Sarah we can only estimate that she died prior to 1755 when John Hitt and Mary MNU had their first son, Peter Hitt, born ca. 1756-60. We also do not have her parents information.
