About Elijah Nigel Cook

Elijah was married to Sarah Farrell in November 1837 and was employed at Fleay's farm at York. His daughter was born in 1838 and died in 1839 with his wife ,both murdered by district natives. He was farming at Upper Swan ,employed by George Christmas and Sam Ives in 1841 and by 1849 had leased property from C Hinds at Toodyay and was producing Vines which were distroyed by fire and by Dec 1850 was running rams in Northam. He was intent on going back to England several times during his life , but never made the journey.

Worked initially for Tanner and then Brockman. Shepherd in the Avon District until 1850s when moved to Chapman River.
