History - Elijah was born in New York. He was taught the gospel and joined the Church as a young man. He found his way in life as a farmer and provided well for his family. After marriage in Ohio, they seemed to have kept on the move, living in two places in Ohio, where their first two children were born. They lived in Indiana where the next two were born, and then moved to Morgan County, Illinois, undoubtedly for the Church. Their next move was to Jackson Co., Illinois, and then they headed west with the Saints. Upon their arrival in the Valley, they settled in Benjamin, Utah, where they lived out their lives. Both were active in the church and Elijah was active in the community.
