A family bible said that her maiden name was Elizabeth Campbell and that they were married in 1746. It also said they came from Ireland. The research of Mary Steuart Blakemore states that they emigrated from Ireland but were Scottish by blood, having been part of a Scottish settlement in Ireland. Ms. Blakemore's research was published "Stewarts of SeQuatchie Valley" which include the Anderson family research. She died after his will dated Jun 1794 but before Nov 1804.
