Elizabeth was the daughter of John Norsworthy and granddaughter of Tristrum Norsworthy who, on May 10, 1638, patented his first land in Virginia. He was also a member of the House of Burgesses in 1641, representing Upper Norfolk County.
Elizabeth outlived her husband of 14 years. She made her will on December 14, 1727 which was probated January 22, 1727.
