Elizabeth Clements

Not the same as Elizabeth Key

After Peyton's death, his children who were under 21 years were referred to as "orphans of Peyton Clements" in court documents filed by his widow Elizabeth [Burford] Clements. If they were Elizabeth Burford's children they would not have been considered orphans.

Elizabeth was born about 1734. She married Peyton Clements son of Thomas Clements, Grandson of Benjamin Clements & Grissell Coleman, while Her brother William Buford married Grissell Clements, Peyton's sister.
