Hoyt indicates that Elizabeth Sargent Flanders died on September 12, 1713. In a footnote, Hoyt indicates, “She [Elizabeth] is not found in the Sargent family records. Sarah Osgood had a child born in 1668. In the suit between Sarah Osgood and Thomas Sargent, the court decided that there was “too much ground for suspicion;” but the case was “not proved,” and they could “not judge Sargent to be the father.”
