About Elizabeth Dye

Nothing about her death and burial is found - it is assumed Martin co., In. or possibly Greene co., In could of even been Effingham county, Il. as George filed probate guardianship for the younger children there (I have bever been able to get actual documents to find out the who, what why) - this could of been in connection to James Gastineau's probate/estate as it took 10+ years to settle and there was a chart listing all his children (deceased) and grandchildren within the packet!! All known grandchildren were listed that was alive/born when he died -

The youngest known child Mary Maragret was born in nov. 1861 and she is on the 1870 census with Oliver P. and Margaret A. (Gastineau) McKissick. it is very probably that this couple took her in after her mother's death (which has not been found as to when)

she could of did while giving birth to mary m. or shortly there after AND/OR or there could of been another child born to George and Elizabeth in which she died during childbrith or shortly after but there is no knowledge of it the only conculsion it died with them mother during after child birth

George had re-married by 29 jan 1863
