Elizabeth Guibert

Dr. Thomas Gerrard did not mention a daughter, Elizabeth, in his will, nor did he name an Ellyson grandchild. Elizabeth Gerrard was named as a headright when Thomas took up land in Maryland, she was not named as a headright when he patented land in Virginia. A printed account of the Gerrard family lists the names of Dr. Gerrard's children: Justinian Gerrard, his eldest son, Thomas, Susanna, Anne, Frances, Temperance, Elizabeth, Jane, John and Mary Gerrard.

and Susannah Snowe. She passed away in 1716.

m. Col. Nehemiah Blakiston (b. abt. 1636 - d. 11 Dec 1693),[3] son of John Blakiston, esq. of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, co. Northumb. (bp. 21 Aug 1603 Sedgefield, co. Durham) & Elizabeth (b. c 1536 - d. abt 31 Jul 1582), dau. of Sir George Bowes of Streatlam, co. Durham & Muriel Eure.[5]

If son John dies without Protestant issue, land is given to sd. son to be equally divided among granchildren and their heirs.

What we contend is that Robert Elllyson did marry an Elizabeth Gerard between 1650-1658, but not to the same Elizabeth Gerard that married (1) Neh. Blackistone abt 1669 in Maryland, (2) Ralph Rymer, and (3) Joshua Guibert. We will provide evidence that indicates that there were two different Elizabeth's with connections to Thomas Gerard, each marrying different men.
