Biography Elizabeth's maiden name is unknown at this time. She is NOT Elizabeth Shercliffe Green as been reported in the past.
Charles County, Maryland Liber L#2, Page 121. At the request of Daniel Stuart of CC, planter, the following lease was recorded Mar 20, 1723 Mar 10, 1723 from Alexander Hamilton of:,CC, planter, to Daniel Stuart of CC, planter, for the rents, & services hereafter expressed and for divers other good causes, the 11 year lease of all that part of the tract of Iand whereon the sd Alexander now dwells, which lies between Portobacco Branch & Wm Boswells Branch. The yearly rent (after the 1st 3 years) is 500 lbs of tobacco in cask on Nov 4. Daniel agrees to plant 100 apple trees within the next 2 years (provided Alexander shall find & deliver the-same to sd Daniel for that end) a Rd to keep the apple trees well fenced. Signed - Alex. r (A his mark) Hamilton Wit - Jso Harrison*, Geo. Dent*. Eliza, the wife of Alex dr, relinquished her right of dower.

John HAMILTON of Nanjemoy was not their grandfather nor were they related in any way to the Hamiltons of Nanjemoy. The parents of both Alexander and Elizabeth of "Spy Park" are unknown and, in any case, both Alexander and Elizabeth were born in the Old Country -- Alexander in Scotland/or Northern Ireland (Ulster) and Elizabeth in Ireland. 1996 - March - The Connector of the Hamilton National Genealogical Society a monograph by F.
