Elizabeth “Betsy” Hawkins had more than one base born child. Two are named in her will along with two grandchildren from her daughter Edith (or Edeth) Funk (later Proctor). See Shenandoah County will & deed books. Maybe George is a father of one or more, maybe not. Her will is under Hawkins.
Her daughter Rebecca Hawkins alias Byrd is the mother of base born Aaron Hawkins who is acknowledged as an illegitimate son of Aaron Hawkins in his 1833 will where he leaves his property to his two illegitimate sons.
