About Elizabeth Hicks
Isaac Hicks, eldest son of the Judge, by his second marriage with Mary DOUGHTY, was like his father prominent in public affairs. He was judge of Queen Co., Long Island in the years 1730 - 1738 and a member of the colonial assembly of NY 1716 to 1730.
He married Elizabeth MOORE and they had 11 children: nine sons: Charles, Benjamin, Isaac, Gilbert, James, Thomas, Henry, John and Edward. and two Dtr. Margaret and Mary.
Elizabeth Moore was born on 10 June 1679 in Southold, Suffolk County, New York, to Capt. Samuel Moore (1645-1717) and Mary Reed (1651-1738).
Elizabeth married Isaac Hicks sometime before 1711, and they had a son, John Hicks (1711-1756).
Elizabeth died on 22 February 1748 in Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.
