Living apart from spouse (or widowed??) as of 1861 census
Census of 1861 transcribes Elizabeth's birthplace as Redhill, but I'm quite certain the original manuscript says Rodhuish, which makes more sense anyway, given the location of her marriage and the birthplace of her son.
No Dobaney, spelled thus, was still living in Somerset as of the 1841 census. (Elizabeth married in 1835, so would already have been Howe by then.) Parish records turn up nearby Daubeny and Davbenny and Dawbney and Dawbeny families (as well as Dobney and Dobine and Dobbin families further afield), but I haven't yet determined any relation to this Elizabeth. Some relation seems probable.
