About Elizabeth 'Betsy' Kidd

Mrs. Betsy Kidd was born in England in the year of 1849 and leaves us at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 5 days. She came to this country with her parents when a small child and settled in Ohio, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage at the age of 18 years to Mr. James Kidd and they settled in Illinois for some years and then moved to Iowa for a short time. Then lived in Shelbina, MO. for a number of years. Then came to Ainsworth, Nebr., where she lived until she departed. To this union there were born eight children of which there are three living and five dead; two of which died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and one daughter and several grand children. Funeral services were conducted from the Jessen Funeral Home, by S. Hallgrimson and interment made in the Ainsworth cemetery.
