Elizabeth Long

Elizabeth Gass was the daughter of Elizabeth "Betsy" Richards Gass and Frederick Gass I (b 1701). Hard evidence on her mother is lacking. We have a "death register" entries by Ephrata Cloister members that an Elizabeth Gas -" helpmate" to Frederick Gass died October 1754. And there is a well established oral tradition that Frederick Gass' wife was Betsy Richards.

Support for this Elizabeth Gass Long being a child of Frederick Gass I (Sr. b 1701) appears in Anna Maria (Gass Bersinger) Christy's will probated in Lancaster Cty, PA, 1791-93. It mentions her brother Frederick Gass' daughter Elizabeth Gass Lang/Long.
