Her obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, February 24, 1921.
Mrs. Elizabeth Maple died in the home of her niece, Mrs. Thomas Williams, of Avalon, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday evening, February 15, of pneumonia. Her age was 75 years. She was a sister of the late Isaac Potts, and was united in marriage in 1864 to James Maple, who preceded her in death.
The following children survive; Mrs. Edward Parr, Mrs. Edward Clinton, of East Liverpool; Mrs. Grace Morgan, of Avalon, Pa.; Mrs. Ollie Wood, of Berea, California; Mrs. William McCoy, of Waterloo, Iowa; Miss Jessie, of Los Angeles, California; William of Akron and Ross of Canton. Burial was made Friday at Grandview Cemetery, in East Liverpool. She was a member of the Reformed Church, of Carrollton, and has a host of friends here.
