About Elizabeth Jane Mason
She was the first wife of Otho S. Mason and daughter of Jacob Probasco and Eleanor Frazier -- Virginians who brought their family to Tazewell County, Illinois in 1837. There, Elizabeth and Otho were married on 9 Aug 1844. Three children later, Elizabeth died while they were living in Winfield, Iowa. Otho remarried to Elizabeth's first cousin Rebecca Probasco, moved to California and had 10 more children. He died in Colusa County, California in 1880, burial unknown.
