Elizabeth McKee

   Per the 1820 census, Elizabeth was between the ages of 26-45.  The county of her residence/marriage is not given, but they are thought to be married in OHIO (possibly Hamilton Co.)

  Receipt of the CASTENS data brought the identity of an eleventh child born to this couple (Feb. 1998) In the "Descendants of James McKee Jr. and Sarah Guess" article, the place of Elizabeth's birth is obviously unproven.  (The author of this article is not named.  It was found and copied in the Porter County, IN Public Library by Darlene Heis for her aunt, who was a descendant of Turla Arema McKee.)

...She was b. 1785 or 1 June 1787. The 1880 censues say, under son Aaron in Illinois, that she was born in Ohio, in Kansas son Daniel says New Jersey, in Ohio son Jeremiah says New York, and in Illinois daughter Sarah says Pennsylvania. I believe from checking Mills families in the Cincinnati area (but without finding Elizabeth), that New Jersey is most likely correct. Elizabeth died 21/22 January 1844 in Miami Co., Ohio. She is buried in Lost Creek Cemetery 4 miles north of Cassville, Ohio...
