About Elizabeth Anderson Meyer
She was known to all her family and friends as Libbie. She was employed at Walker Brothers Dry Goods Store, one of the finest in Salt Lake City. Her needlework was a work of art.
After the death of her sister Kate (Katherine Jane) in 1914, Libbie devoted herself to Kate's children, trying to take their mother's place.
At the expense of her marriage to Harry G. Meyer, she devoted herself to her parents in their old age. Her husband's business was in California. When she wouldn't leave her parents and go to California with him where his business was, he divorced her.
After her parents' deaths, Harry and Libbie were reconciled and were remarried in 1936. She lived to within a few days of her eighty-fifth birthday.
