IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Elizabeth Willows of Leighton Bussard in the County of Bedford Widow being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (God be praised therefore) Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting to be saved thro' the Merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer For my body I commit the same to the Earth decently to be buried at the discretion of my Executor herein named and as touching such Worldly Goods and Estate as God hath been pleased to bless me with I dispose of as followeth Imprimis I do nominate and appoint give Will and Devise unto John Millard my Brother all those my several pieces and parcels of arable Land Ley Meadow pasture and Sword Ground with all Woods trees Hedges Ditches mounds fences profits Commons and appurtenances thereto belonging which said Lands and premises I lately bought and purchased of Thomas Herbert and his Wife and are lying and being dispersedly in the Fields and precincts of Ivinghoe Aston in the parish of Ivinghoe in the County of Bucks and now in the occupation of Richard Cooke To hold unto the said John Millard my Brother his heirs and assigns forever Also I give will devise and bequeath unto the said John Millard my Brother All that my Customary or Copyhold Cottage or Tenement in the occupation of Robert Deverell Situate standing and being in the Leckend of Leighton Bussard aforesaid in the County of Bedford with all houses outhouses edifices buildings barns stables yards gardens orchards and backsides thereto belonging To hold unto the said John Millard my brother and his heirs assigns for and during the Term of his Natural life and from and after his Decease I give will and devise the said Cottage or Tenement and premises with the appurtenances unto John Millard my Nephew Son of Henry Millard my Brother his heirs assigns for ever which said Cottage or Tenement and premises is surrendered or intended to be surrendered to the use of my Will Item I do nominate and appoint Give will and devise unto William Millard my Brother All that my Close of pasture or Sword Ground situate lying and being in Stewkley in the said County of Bucks and now in the Occupation of Thomas Willis with all the Woods trees hedges ditches mounds fences profits Comons and appurtenances whatsoever to the same premises belonging and appurtaining To hold unto the said William Millard my Brother his heirs and assigns forever Item I do give and bequeath unto Henry Millard my brother the sum of two hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executor hereinafter named out of my personal Estate within twelve Months next after my Decease Item I do give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Millard my Niece Daughter of the said Henry Millard my Brother the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor herein after named out of my personal Estate when and as she shall arrive at the age of one and twenty years Item I do give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Bedcott Spinster the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor hereinafter named out of my personal Estate within twelve Months next after my Decease Item I do give and bequeath unto John Collins Millard my Kinsman the sum of five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executor hereinafter named out of my personal Estate within six Months next after my Decease I do give and bequeath unto Sarah Millard Daughter of the said John Collins Millard the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor hereinafter named out of my personal Estate when and so soon as she shall arrive at the age of one and twenty years Item I do give and bequeath unto my Maid Servant one years wages over and above what shall be due to her at the time of my decease Item all the rest residue and remainder of my money Goods Cattle Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever Except my plate which I give to my three Brothers John Henry and William equally to be divided amongst them share and share alike after my Debts Legacies and Funeral Expenses and the Charges in proving this my Will are and shall be fully satisfied and paid I do give and bequeath unto the said John Millard my Brother and I do hereby make and ordain Constitute and appoint the said John Millard my Brother full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament written and contained in this and the other two sheets of paper hereunto annexed In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Willows the Testatrix have to the two first sheets set my hand only but to this third and last my hand and seal the Fourteenth Day Of May in the first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one Elizabeth Willows Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Willows the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us and in her and such others presence and at her request attested and subscribed by us as Witnesses hereto. THIS WILL was proved at London before the Worshipful William Wynne Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir Edward Simpson Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted on the eighth day of January in the year of our Lord seven hundred and sixty two by the Oath of John Millard the brother of the deceased and Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
