Elizabeth Neale

Elizabeth Southey (Southey?) was born circa 1620. As of circa 1640,her married name was Neale.1 She married John Neale, son of Edmund Neale and Elizabeth Nn, circa 1640.1 Elizabeth was named as administrator of an estate on 7 January 1644/45 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of John Neale was granted to Elizabeth Neale widow, who relilnquished her husband's estate. (Notes: Margaret Neale is the daughter of Elizabeth Neale. William Waters is guardian to Margaret Neale and David Dale is her father-in-law (step-father). David Dale, late of Accomack, is now of York County.).2 As of circa 1646,her married name was Dale.2 She married David Dale circa 1646 at York Co, VA. Circa 1645 in Northampton Co he was shown as David Dale, late of Accomack, now of York Co, the father-in-law (step-father) of Margaret Neale, the daughter of Elizabeth Neale.2 Elizabeth Southey (Southey?) died before 8 July 1654 at Northampton Co, VA. William Waters is appointed guardian to Margaret Neale (orphan and daughter of John Neale dec'd), it being the desire of the mother lately dec'd. The sheriff was ordered to take an account of the orphan's estate in the hands of David Dale father-in-law (step-father) of the orphan.3
