About Elizabeth Nutter (McIntire)

In 1791, when Elizabeth was about 11, both of her parents were massacred by Indians near Enterprise, WV.

One source said that she was an only child; another that she was the eldest of 5 children. It would be interesting to know who took care of the children after their parents' deaths -- perhaps one of their father's brothers who lived nearby.
