Elizabeth Overton

Funeral services and burial for Mrs. Elizabeth Woody Overton, 80, who died at her residence in New Hope yesterday morning, were held at the Hayden Cemetery at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. J. S. Johnson of Guntersville officiated at the rites. Laughlin and McCaleb were in charge of arrangements.

Surviving Mrs. Overton, who was the widow of James W. Overton, are five daughters, Mrs. J. R. Segler of Guntersville, Mrs. M. C. Hester of Arab, Mrs. O. S. Ledbetter and Mrs. J. S. Whitaker, both of New Hope and Mrs. B. R. Stuart, Nevada; a son, A. W. Overton of New Hope; two brothers, G. W. Woody, New Hope, and W. C. Woody, Nevada; and 21 grandchildren.

Married James W. Overton on June 21, 1880 in Madison Co, AL.
