About Elizabeth Patrick
She is alleged to be a descendant of Rev. John Rogers, who was "marty red" in 1555 for religious reasons in the reign of Queen Mary. However an article in the new England Genealogical Register says that many people surnamed "Rogers" made that claim because of his fame. There seems to be no proof of her tie to the Rev.
She was allowed to visit a church in Providence as long as she promised to "attend to duty and walk orderly".
