ELIZABETH (HOSKINS) PITTS / 1679 - 1739
Elizabeth Hoskins was the great grand daughter of early Connecticut colonists John Hoskins and Ann (Filer) Hoskins. Both John and Ann were born in England, 1598 and 1600, respectively, and married in 1620. While the date of emigration to Connecticut is unclear, John and Ann Hoskins proved very early residents of Windsor, CT. John and Ann Hoskins parented five children, of whom the eldest son Thomas Hoskins (born 1620 in England / died Apr. 13, 1666 in Windsor, CT) and his wife, Elizabeth (Gaylord) Hoskins, were direct paternal grand parents of Elizabeth Hoskins.....Elizabeth Hoskins, herself, was the only documented child of John Hoskins (born May 29, 1654 / died Feb. 21, 1733 in Windsor, CT) and Elizabeth (Knapp) Hoskins (born 1655 / died "before 1699"). Elizabeth Hoskins was born "about 1680" in Taunton, MA and married Ebenezer Pitts "about 1698". Elizabeth is presumably interred in the "Old Burial Ground" in Dighton, alongside Ebenezer Pitts.
