Married to Alfred Corning Clark. After his death she married the Right Reverend Henry Codman Potter D.D. See Marriage annoucement at to Reverend Potter http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=F30E13F83A5F12738...

"The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Scriven Potter, widow of the late Bishop Henry Codman Potter of New York, briefly announced by last week's FARMER, occurred at about 3 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, March 4, 1909. Mrs. Potter had been seriously ill only a few days. Death is ascribed to Bright's disease with which she had been afflicted for several years.

On February 20th she was present at the wedding of her son, Stephen Carlton Clark, and Miss Susan Hun, which took place in Albany. So confident were her sons that she was in no immediate danger that her death found three of them abroad. One of the number, F. Ambrose Clark, had been in Europe for some time and Stephen C. and his bride, in the course of the wedding trip, joined him and his wife there. The four have sailed from England for home. A third son, Robert S. Clark, is engaged in scientific work in China.

Mrs. Potter passed away at her winter home, 347 West 80th street, corner of Riverside Drive.

Mrs. Potter was of English descent but was born in this country. Her first husband was Alfred Corning Clark, son of Edward Clark who made a large fortune through his connection with the Singer sewing machine business. It was Edward Clark who began the erection of the Clark Mansion, 'Fernleigh' which subsequently was completed by the son.

Mr. Clark died April 1, 1896, and on October 4, 1902, she married the Rt. Rev. Henry C. Potter, whom she survived by less than eight months ... The funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of Incarnation at 35th street and Madison avenue, New York."
