About Elizabeth Ann Potter
eldest daughter of an English father, John Lambert of Newtown, Long Island see: sources here, sp. the 1855 NY state census that shows them together.
They, the Lamberts, may have earlier lived on W. 14th st., Manhattan which would explain how her oldest daughter "Lizzie" met her husband Frederic. Frederic lived across the street.

John, her brother, was first a dealer in looking glass then (1880) a manufacturer of gilt frames... perhaps even the frames that adorn the portraits of his sister and brother in law... see: https://www.geni.com/photo/view/6000000022146769352?album_type=photos_of_me&photo_id=6000000021643213320
Sackett St. John's address in 1880 is very near Clinton St. where the Potter/Lamberts lived.

A death announc. in the paper mentioned that she was a widow. The grave monument does not mention her husband.
