i. Mary, b. Dec. 27, 1716/7; mar. Jonathan Dunham, b. Woodbridge Nov. 7, 1710/1, d. Sept. 21, 1748, son of Benjamin and Mary Dunham.

ii. Elizabeth, b. June 15, 1718; d. Oct. 9, 1793; mar. 1st (reported at meeting held Dec., 1734/5), John Shotwell, by whom she had two children (Shotwell):

a. Elizabeth, b. Dec. 27, 1736/7 (probably died young).

b. John Smith, b. Dec. 8, 1738/9 (H. D. Vail Ms. copy of the record); married l s t , Sept. 22, 1756, Mary Webster, dau. of William and Susannah (Cowperthwaite) Webster, who was a younger sister of his father's 2nd wife. Married 2nd, May 23, 1782, Phebe Shotwell, dau. of Joseph and Elizabeth (~acksonS) hotwell, who mar. 2nd, Henry Moore. John Smith Shotwell made his will Sept. 13, 1800.

Elizabeth Smith and John Shotwell were evidently divorced (possibly before the birth of John Smith Shotwell), and she resumed her maiden name of Smith. John Shotwell mar. 2nd in 1743 (reported at meeting Oct. 11, 1743) Grace Webster, b. Sept. 9, 1725, dau. of William and Susannah (Cowperthwaite) Webster. John Shotwell's will, dated Dec. 5, 1776, named his son John Smith shotwell, and then his children (by Grace ~ e b s t e rH) ugh, Jacob, William Isaiah, James, Martha Shotwell, Susannah Townsend, Mary Stevens and Sarah Smith [ l l 3 ] .

Elizabeth Smith mar. 2nd, marriage reported accomplished Feb. 20, 1738, Samuel Laing, who died July 23, 1742. They had children (Laing):

c. John, b. 24 of 1st mo., 1739/40; d. Dec. 18, 1795; mar. Dec. 28, 1767, Susannah Webster, another dau. of William and Susannah (~owperthwaiteW) ebster. She d. June 10, 1795 [113].

d. Mary, b. 23 of 6 mo., 1741; d. 22 of 7 mo., 1742 [113]. Elizabeth Smith mar. 3rd, license July 24, 1744, Elijah Pound, b. July 8, 1712, d. Mar. 17, 1790, son of John and Esther Pound. He had married first, Bathsheba4 Fitz Randolph (NO. 29:iv) [113]. Children by Elizabeth (pound):

e. Samuel, b. June 15, 1745; d. Oct. 21, 1826; mar. Aug. 26, 1772, Catharine Webster, b. June 23, 1756, d. Jan. 18, 1836, dau. of John & Anna (Taylor) Webster.

f. Bathsheba, b. Jan. 13, 1747; d. Feb., 1823; mar. Mar. 22, 1769, Jacob Shotwell, b. Aug. 29, 1746, d. Dec. 15, 1815, dau. of John & Grace (Webster) Shotwell.

g. Daniel, b. Jan. 1, 1751; mar. Prudence Jones and moved to Canada.

h. Sarah, b. Aug. 20, 1752; d. Dec. 18, 1777; mar. Mar. 22, 1769 her cousin, Samuel Smith, Jr. (see below).

i. Elizabeth, b. Nov. 16, 1754; mar. Mar. 25, 1772, William Shotwell, b. May (or June) 11, 1748, d. in Canada 1841; son of John & Grace (Webster) Shotwell.

j. Elijah, b. Nov. 19, 1756; mar. 1784, Isabella Sharp.

k. Thomas, b. Dec. 14, 1758.
