Elizabeth Prout

• ii. Elizabeth Upshall, b. in Feb. 1637/8; m. 1) July 4, 1652 at Boston, Mass. when only 14 years of age, William Greenough (by William Hibbins). He d. on or after July 24, 1678, the date of his will. There were ten children by the marriage. Elizabeth m. 2) bef. May 22, 1686 as his 2nd wife, Capt. Timothy Prout, Sr. of Boston, who d. Nov. 3, 1702. There were no children of this second marriage.

[William Greenough's namesake nephew, Capt. William Greenough, m. Elizabeth's 1st cousin, Ruth Swift, at Boston in 1660. The latter William Greenough d. at Boston on Aug 6, 1693 and is interred at Boston's Copps Hill burying ground.]
